In 2020 Wu sold a detailed full-body scan of herself on the platform my mini factory to raise money for children in need. The total sum of $3089.70 was to be donated to the Virlanie Foundation, but the organization decided not to accept the donations for fear of being associated with Wu's body controversial body image.
This sculptural work is the result of engaging with maker culture, post-humanism and digital remix. It depicts the the policing women's body in the tech industry. Naomi Wu as consented to let us sell this sculpture for the purpose of donating the money to a charity that support young women in STEAM in the area of Montreal.
